Japanese Inventions
The Japanese are known for their quirky and
creative inventions when it comes to the field of electronics,
gadgetry, and even daily use for the home.
A lot of Japanese
inventions, however, are not really created for financial
reasons. Many do so because they feel a need for
an invention like that in their life. So while many inventors
try to invent things they believe are life-changing, the Japanese
believe in inventing things to make their lives somewhat easier.
Many
Japanese view inventions more a public rather than a private
good. Their laws encourage cooperation, avoid litigation,
and promote Japanese industry. This is in stark contrast to
American
patent laws, which reward the individual inventor instead
of the society as a whole.
