An overview of Japanese Arts
Japanese arts evolved as a result from
the early years of experiences that it had been exposed to, and
the countries that it had interacted with. Much of these countries’ own
practices and beliefs had a lot of influence on the Japanese
people, showing off their treasures and traditional arts, which
in turn became a benchmark for adaptation and improvement on
the part of the Japanese. From thereon, many practices had resulted
such as paintings created through various brushing techniques,
woodblocks, ceramics and tea ceremonies. These common art works
today can be easily traced as originating from Japan.
Japan has introduced many known art forms over the years. The
major parts and forms are enumerated hereafter. To see their
evolvement and impact of the Japanese’ contribution in
the world of arts today, these are grouped accordingly into art
prints, ceramics, theater and tea ceremonies.
